Hey there! I am Heather and wow what a ride! I was blessed with an interesting and fulfilling career. My design beginnings were centered around fashion design. My early days as a child were spent busy designing and sewing clothes and fascinated with fabrics, patterns and textures. That passion led me to design school. I am a graduate of TMU's esteemed School of Fashion and my career lead me down the path of home interiors product design and styling. I worked corporately and in my own consulting practice for 20+ years helping  retailers and manufacturers design & create home products and brands. I was General Manger of Brand and Product Development, Trend + Design Director, Colour Forecaster for Sears Canada & Eaton's and National Marketing Manager for Hudson's Bay who had the pleasure of leading design, product and marketing teams. I was surrounded by home style as our team art directed photo shoots for magazine, catalogues and TV.  As a company spokesperson I was a guest on Cityline's home day, news programs and other design shows. I have travelled the globe in search of the best designs at trade fairs and with designers in factory settings. Fortunate to work with the best in the biz including Martha Stewart, House & Home, Roots Home and many other reputable brands, I cultivated my own unique taste level and approach to design. All of my experience has formed a strong passion and interest for anything and everything HOME! I have a serious green thumb and believe the garden is an extension of your home. I dabble with watercolour painting, furniture design and other crafty home projects that help give home spaces a personal touch. I have traded in my suits and high heels for sneakers and a blazer as it is time to spend more time doing what I love; creating beautiful spaces. I am a mother of 2 teenagers and love spending time with my partner Steve and our 2 adorable English springer spaniels. I am happy to serve clientele in the Barrie area and North Bay as we call both places HOME.
